How to start healing your trauma
This is just our opinion, but we feel like all of us have experienced trauma just from the events of 2020 so far.
First, the global pandemic affected all of us. Not only were we experiencing the fear of catching the virus, but there was also the stress of lost jobs & businesses, daily anxiety from watching the news, the isolation that came from quarantine orders, disappointment and sadness when meaningful events were cancelled...and so much more.
And now, the US is experiencing massive amounts of racial unrest...much of which stems from generations of trauma.
We as individuals, and as a society, have to learn to address our own trauma if we are to move towards health.
Today, we are interviewing Bethany Matheson, M.ED., LPC, RYT200, who specializes in treating people who have endured trauma. She’s sharing the practical things we can do NOW to begin to address and heal our own trauma.
